–When we left off last time our team found there way into the mist walk where there was a merging of Bandersnatches.

–There was a joy full merging and a few lessons on emblazing runes.

–tell me about Umbrielle’s sleeping arrangements.

To DM, If we are sleeping here I think we should probably all sleep together. Is their tent still in rough shape like it was when we got here or is it better now?

–Its far better than it was but there is plenty of room in your tent also

Ok I’ll invite all of them to stay in our tent with us

Sp, “Do we need to have someone stay awake to guard against danger?”

–Un-brielle: “Not here specifically its a space considered thicker but when you see some of the houses that might be a good idea.”

Annushka

 “Are we going to travel to that place tomorrow?”

–Un-brielle: “Yes. It will only be us that are can be hurt there. But that will be the way to grand spine tower.”

Annushka

,” I see. What will happen when we get there?”

—“Un-brielle: We will Traverse the golden way until we find an adjoining obsidian mirror and that will take us into the Obsidian reliquary home of the grand spine tower.”

Annushka

Sp, “And then we go through the mirror back to the other side?”

–Un-brielle: “Correct.”

Annushka

“What will happen to you when we go?”

–Un-brielle: “Do you mean After the mirror.”

Annushka

Sp “Yes?”

Sp,” Will you come with us or will you stay here?”

–Un-brielle: “I don’t know we can only offer new information about this world. The res is a just our shared memory I can say that the mist walk on the surface has less bizarre creatures. But we shall remain with you the way that we can in that world.”

–Un-brielle:“You won’t be able to hug and talk to us the way you can now but you will be able to call upon our protection over there and even though you wont be able to see us we will be there.”

Annushka

Sp,“I hope you will be safe and happy.”

–Un-brielle gently hugs you. “Safety is never promised to anyone but we shall now be much safer since you embraced us and share some of your light and warmth us. But we will be with you so we will be very happy and safe as can be expected.”

Annushka

I hug her and lay down to rest.

–Un-brielle: “Let me sleep under you while you are here to hug me.”

Annushka

I let her. I try to make her warm and comfortable.

–Her eyes clinch closed the way a baby box turtles might and with your bedroll she pulls her head and appendages into her shell as much as possible. Though you sense from her she is 10,000 times more fierce than any simple box turtle.”

–You all seem to wake up back where you came but you are all faded like a ghost. You Flit into other planes like New York, Camelot,  Feyri, and other places like Grey-hawk.

–After what could feel like 10 hours of sleep.

–Most everybody wakes up.

Sp, “What is happening?”

–Un-mble: “Well that’s up to you we could teach you some more stuff.”

–Un-mble: “Or we could teach you as stuff.”

(To DM, I’m confused. Why do we look faded and are they aware of it?)

–(Thats information an NPC might offer. Sometimes magic stuff just happen.)

–(But you could probably discover an explanation for it)

(Now I’m more confused. You said we were. Did we become solid again when we woke up?)

–(Only while you were dreaming from within the Mist-Walk)

Sp. “What do you mean teach us as stuff?”

–Un-mble: “Well we only taught you about emblazing your own runes you still don’t know how to call upon our protection.”

Annushka

Sp.”Yes please teach us that.”

–Un-mble gently nudges Rumble: “Please go set up the chess board for us would you angel.”

–Rumble Stretches out her arms in a big yawn the way kitties do. “Oh okay just let me get set up for a second.” she says as she licks herself for a moment.

–Un-mble: “We are going to go get set up while some of the others help us pack up and set up breakfast.”

Sp, “I’ll help whoever seems to need it

Sorry that wasn’t meant to be spoken.”

–Now Gold Edge as her new blade reads: Starts packing up her stuff as Un-dilove helps pack your stuff up. While Un-mble preps breakfast.

–After an hour or so the things are packed up and a hardy fish stew is being served by Un-mble.

–Un-brielle and Goldie read through some of their books.

–Un-brielle: “I am somewhat our parties spokes Tortle. So I can handle any other questions as well.”

To DM is Un-mble ready to teach us?

–(Right now she is serving breakfast as everyone is packing up seeing if anybody is ready. or has more questions.)

—Un-mble offers you a respectable looking tiny coper pot of a spicy fish stew along with a clean wooden spoon.

Sp, “Thanks. Will you be ready to teach us after we have breakfast?”

–Un-mble: “Yes but we need our stuff off the path first we also need our energy.”

Sp, “Just let me know what to do.”

–Un-mble “Just relax and eat up.”

I smile and eat my fish stew.

–After a good long breakfast Rumble gets T1341 to bring up the chess board again with a new program running from it there are sturges flying in swarms here and there and a few illusionary goblins peak out from behind rocks to throw spears.

I’m waiting to see what happens

— Folks finish up there stew and most of them remember how to get onto the chessboards clockwork position. Yet there are four new spaces with different spaces on the inside now occupied the bander-snatches.

–Rumble: “Ok lets just start out to see what we remember about our chessboard. I am going to start with some phantom sturge attacks”

–It explodes with radiant energy from an a source the bottom of the club.

–Rumble: “Now as everyone recalls this board lets us call upon power to use many different feats on our 1st round of combat, but the very first to strike headlines.”

–Rumble: “What that means is they do a lot of extra damage. with the first attack and maybe a few other things.”

–Yes but these are fragile illusions and some runes are just once per day

–(yes the one calibrated to your lexicon)

–(Correct but once a day you may recalibrate your lexicon if you wish to.)

–As a bonus action your claws and sharp beak and other basic bander snatch features form into place.

–Un-mble: “Now if you take only one attack or cast only a cantrip. you can use a one second action to call our power to you.”

Sp, “How do I do that?”

–Goldie’s form blinks as a dark shadow swirls around her and Gold Edge vanishes as a shadowy wisp appears around her.

–Un-brielle: “Just close your eyes and imagine our energy filling you up protecting you.”

–Un-Dilove: “When you think of a flower you just think of the top part”

–(You used a rune and an attack so you may need to wait.)

–Un-dilove: “Jabria teaches that a flower just isn’t the to part but the under roots as well the roots are often forgotten but are just as valuable they supply a flower food and energy.”

–One of them buzzing around you splatters everywhere.

— You are enveloped in a dark shadowy velvety blanket. Un-Brielle vanishes and becomes a dark shadowy wisp around you.

–You shell feels 70 lbs. lighter and yet larger and more protective as if you your head was tucked in.

–Everybody follows suit and the wisps are around everyone now except Un-mble.

–As the five Sturges fly to Goldie opportunity attacks whip out killing off the remaining foes… (but) After a moment phantom kobolds jump out from the Shadows.

–Un-mble: “On Round Zero you may also act Your eyes and brain are now partially in Un-brielle and You can make a suggestion to her about what you wish to do to her on round zero.”

–As Un-brielle now manifest in your space for just a moment what do want her to do with these kobolds.

She can hit them with her claws or magic if she has any

–From your space as if you were her casting spells arcane words form in  long, over defined, and even human like hands. These hands reach out with a touch attack necromancy spell.

–With 9 points of damage a kobold shrivels and ages into decay, as Un-brielle manifests in her old space.

Sp. “That was impressive!”

—Un-dilove manifests out of Eldilove charges forward and smashes a kobold with black iron mace.

–-With 9 damage she sends its head flying.

–Un-dilove: “The roots of a flower are often unseen and disregarded as a part of the flower but it is only the roots that hold a flowers true power.”

–Un-mble smacks a Hobgoblin that Jumps in front of her on the mark one clock space.

–Undilove: “You Saw what headlining is, and we showed you this other dragon style also. This style is called the librarian. However there is one more awesome style to show you.”

–Umbrielles turn.

Sp. “What is the other style you want to show us?”

–Un-mble: “We will teach you how to become SWORD BREAKERS!!!!  The Jaberwocky agency has mastered two styles. Umbrielle’s please call back Un-brielle now.”

–-Its easy enough to move from 11 to 12 clock spot to smack the hobgoblin and smack him so hard a quarter of his face is caved in, and he is near dead.

–-Un-dilove: Throws a shurriken at it the hobgoblin and it falls over.

— However A huge Iron golem that you have never seen jumps down 10 feet away from you and launches a gas bomb at the party from a chest cavity.

–You fail horribly. You almost begin to retch and vomit you feel nauseated and poisoned.

—As you begin to vomit instantly it is Un-brielle now standing in your space now and you have her body instead.

–They themselves are not undead revenants they are however the byproduct of extreme tragedy and that is a channel for necromantic energy. They are more similar to a budding animation system but exist more as a phantasm in a dream world. With that said they are undead esk.

–The Iron Golem charges you now in Un-Brielle’s body with two glowing eyes of different colors it was about to make an attack roll on you but before it hits you may re insert your inititive right before it does that and take a turn super fast.

–Un-mble: “Each of us is a unique manifestation and the nature of what we do has a different look, but I hope you can see why they call this position the sword breaker.”

–Un-brielle; “There is one more core dragon style to learn but we don’t have access to it. These are the ones we are best known for. No other agency matches are mist walking or bander  power..”

–Un brielle: “The thing to remember though is unlike the fighting styles of religious societies there are no defined roles or expectations here. You can be a free wolf in a pack instead a sheep in a herd. So you can master all the aspects you like and still take bits of other things you think are good to have.”

–Un-brielle: “Learn what you want and need if new info is too much that’s ok also.”

–Un-brielle hugs you less vigorously now.

–Un-dilove: “When a flower is claimed she is severed from her roots and placed into a vase as a display. Such is a prison. She remains beautiful a moment longer before she dies.”

–Un-Briellle: “I believe you. I know you would never hurt me.” She hugs you tighter now.

–Un-mble: stretches out as well. “With that out of the way all our bases are covered. Tell me Umbrielle is there a dragon style that speaks most to you.”

I like all of them, I think it will depend on who or what we are fighting

–Un-brielle: “You are definitely welcome to learn and master all of them equally… Yaaaawn I guess we better head out if we want to get to that tower.”

Annushka

Sp, “Yes. We should go”

–Rumble casts down a small 1/4th section of chess board. everybody forms up on their clock position and they start walking back on the gold brick path into the other room. (The one with just a teleportation circle) Yet instead there is a long floating road of gold bricks 80 feet wide that exists in a vacuum and sits in emptiness.

Sp, “Is this right? Or has something changed?”

–Each of the bricks radiates a chunk of light that easily allows you to see 60 feet around the road with good visibility

–Un-Brielle: “No. This is right”

–Last time where we left off our team found a short cut to a place where a blue dragon was discovered, and after a tea party and some grooming. Jabria Is looking much better

 “Jabria I think we may be ready to take the portal, but I would like to return and learn more after our adventure if possible”

–Jabria: “Yes Yes the Mist walk might be the simplest way to meet me again.”

“I would like that.” 🙂

–The entire area goes pitch black and neither of you can see your hands in front of your face but only for one second

–When your vision returns you look at a knightly woman with short blue hair and cobalt blue armor high light with platinum

–Jabria: “Its time for me to show you towards your portal.”

 “Thank you again for your hospitality. History books do not do you justice.”

–Jabria: Walks to a mirror and knock on a mirror as it disappears. revealing a path with two doors.

“Where does each door lead?”

–Jabria/(Now in knightly form the dragon is completely gone): “If you wish I could take you to a dark mirror and you could go to you location through the mist walk where you could learn more about your inner Bandersnatch. But the door on the right will take you with in a 20to 30 minute swim of grand spine tower.”

–Rumble: Packs bunches of dead skin into her bag.

“Miss Umbrielle what are your thoughts, do we need more preparation, or should we move forward with the mission?”

Annushka

“All I know about this mission is what the mistress and the others told me. I think Goldie and rumble would be better able to answer that.”

Jessica

“Goldie are we ready in your opinion?”

–Goldie: “I always heard that if one does not find the mist walk it will find you. No permanent harm will come from walking into it but it can be a horrifying place. Still I h would hat to find myself in a Brisbane military base again.”

–Rumble: “I won’t promise that the mist walk is a completely safe place, but on the other hand we could comeback…still it won’t take that much time…Although It does find you and its not just skeletons we might get stuck fighting.”

–Goldie: ” If one of these Bandersnatch creatures grants us some healing or invisibility powers i would feel so happy even if it means calling shades to me.”

–Rumble: “No promises that a creature wont follow us out though.”

“It sounds like the Bandersnatch is our better option?”

–Goldie: “No promises that a mob a Brisbantic knights will treat us kindly either.”

–Rumble: “Fine lets vote on it.”

–Jabria: “I am always here to answer questions about it.“

“Bandersnatch?”

–Jabria: “Yes. You remember the poem.  ‘Find within you a frumious Bandersnatch. They Hold your unpower. They are like the part of your mind you choose not too look at. They have no interest in harming you though.”

–Jabria: “There are shades and extra planar creatures in there who may try to barter and or cheat you. However they hold no power except in there own house. Just stick to the gold brick path and you should be fine. Also never give away all of your lanterns!!!.”

–Jabria: “If you give away one lantern  or maybe even two you will hold the brick path’s protection, but if you lose the third, Your Bandersnatch will suffer and that can cause you psychic harm.”

 “Is there a reason we should give them away.”

–Jabria: “Bandersnatches can beg, but they can also die quickly. It is said they are the ones that enchant the lexicons, You may wish to repay them, but beyond  that no. Any face behind a window does not want to talk with in equal power.”

–Jabria scratches her chin.

Jessica

“So not having a lantern makes us seem safer and more approachable?”

–Jabria: “I won’t tell you that you are obligated to help your Bandersnatch, merely that they hold your unpower….Oh yes and time within the mist-walk is different than time outside.”

–Jabria: “No darling Its better to keep them for the most part. A Bandersnatch despite the name never really takes anything from you. You are more or less opening a door inside yourself. So they get to be exceptions to many rules.”

–Jabria: “I don’t even know where the beginning of this path will be for you just that this mirror ends in many different exits one of which is near the base of Grand Spine Tower.”

–Scarecrow: “AH Mistress Eldilove can you place me around your neck in my other state.”

— The Scarecrow shrinks into a mythrill chain necklace with a coffin ornament on one side of it.

–Mocking tortle: “Yes and you can carry me Mistress Umbrielle.”

I nod and carry the mock tortle.

Jessica

I do the same with the scarecrow.

–He shrinks into another necklace after bowing

–Rumble: “So The biggest problem is trickster demons it sounds like. These Bandersnatches may only be looking for a way out of the mirror.”

Goldie: “So what do you both want to do?”

Jessica

“I’m ready to face this challenge.”

Annushka

 “I think we are ready to try. Let’s go.”

Jessica

“I’ll be the last one in so I can heal if anything goes wrong.”

–Jabria: She looks at both of you and pats you both on the shoulder. “Facing ones own Bandersnatch is very difficult to stomach. In some cultures it is seen in some philosophies as becoming ones own Bandersnatch, but all of you seem worth of much respect. It shouldn’t be seen as too scary for you.”

–She opens up the door and 20 feet away is a huge sheet of obsidian framed in large blue scales with gold runes on them. one the sides there seem to be a table with a few objects on it.

–You see a few red potions, and one blue potion.

“What is in these?”

Jabria: “As I have offered before healing potions. The reds are just minor healing potions but the blue one will let you regain a 1st level spell, and this blue one is extra special just uncork it and you can have an entire hours rest in only 10 minutes.”

Jessica

“I think Goldie could use that one the most. I’ll take a healing potion”

–Jabria: “Before any of the shades on the other side try to barter with you let me tell you up front you can develop more lanterns over time but you always need at least one.”

–Goldie: “Lets just pouch it and see who needs it”

Jessica

“Ok.”

–Rumble: “I am also packing a few pastries that could be helpful up top.”

Jessica

“Shall we? what order should we go in?”

–Jabria: Taps the obsidian sheet and it becomes a large brackish mist

Annushka

“I can go first. My shell will protect me from attacks.”

–Goldie: “I am strongest with some spell casting distance.”

— T 1341 “Looooodoop.”

“Rumble: “Lets not bother with that I will just bring up my tactical chess board and shrink it down to 16 squares instead of 64. If we all stay on our squares we should be able to sneak and run at the same time.”

–Rumble: “Just give me ten minutes to Bring up the ritual.”

–After a bit of time a four by four grid appears with four marked spaces on it.

–(one is marked for healers by a shepherds crook and mace, another has a shield and axe, one has two crossed daggers and the last has quarter staff with an F structure at the top. the shapes are slightly different this time.)

–As our team marched forward Jabria waves good bye you enter an almost identical room with a goldbrick road on it leading out of the near replica of the room you are in.

–Its just you on this gold path in this room

–Goldie: “Well onward hoe”

I assume Rumble is being stealthy and I follow Goldie.

–Rumble: “Umbrielle would you prefer I lead?”

“She said we are supposed to just follow the golden path, right? You’re welcome to lead with me.”

–T1341 Starts moving down the gold path everyone has the option of remaining in position as T1341 moves, You can ask her to stop, but she will stop every 6o feet for ten seconds.

–Assuming you all remain in position, you walk out of the room into a replica of Jabra’s main room however it is full of bones there is a small tent on the gold path. you can almost hear voices coming from it.

“Hello?”

–You hear Umbrielle’s voice come from the tents,

–Umbrielle? : “AaaaH is that them did they find us”

“Who are you?”

–Eldilove’s voice comes from the tent now:

–Eldilove: “It is them and they sound just like us!”

Jessica

“I don’t mean you any harm. How long have you been here?”

–A female tortle with a hyper extended smile wear a long black cloak with a small skull mask holding a pair of metallic card. jumps out. Her eyes seem to be replaced by rather large emeralds. She wields a long spine like staff is in her other hand.

–Un-Brielle: “It is yoou. You look…. warriorish.”

Annushka

“You were expecting us?”

–A  figure covered in dark grey colors walks out.   bone claws made from the distal phalanges that extend through her finger tips along with glowing red eyes.  She has skeletal bat wings and a scorpion tail pops out  her pack.

–Un-brielle: “Oh yess for soo soo long we have been starving scrounging for food so many things here can harm us. so many creatures push us away and push us in boxes forget about us. We jus want our sissters to love us maybe even wish to protect us…Even though it is kind of our job to protect them.”

–A Huge Armored cat with thick matted furr and a pair of scimitars steps out her hair is very long as are her arms and her equipment seems tattered.

–An Amazon like barbarian gold dragon born steps out her head is covered in an eyeless executioners hood, and she weilds a long fat executioners blade made of rough worked bone.

–Un-Dilove: “We have been sssseeking you for so long were sooo hungry were sooo lonely.”

“What should we do?”

“I don’t suppose you like strawberry tarts”

–Un-Brielle: “Oh yess yess anything you have would be great. We can’t give you much in return but we could comb your hair teach you some stuff share some secrets.”

–Un-mble: “We made your magic lexicons from us to keep you safe did you get them.”

“We did.”

–Moldy Goldie: “So Alone. So alone. Always so dark.”

–Un-Brielle: “There is so much to talk about you could sit in our tent or set up you own.”

–Rumble: (Kind of frozen) “… Do you want me to set up a tent… Umbrielle…”

“We could sit in theirs if there is enough room.”

Jessica

 “I can set us up a campfire and give us some song while we speak, if you’d like.”

Annushka

I look inside the tent.

–Goldie; “Ok great idea I am kind of creeped out.”

–Inside the tent you find some knives similar to your lexicons. There are carving knives, bits of chorale, thin blankets, ratty looking bedrolls, a tiny seashell with light cast on it some copper pieces that feel kind of warm and some thin canvas backpacks.

“Maybe that’s why your Bandersnatch seems to be unhappy Goldie.”

–Goldie: “Do you think these might be our Bandersnatches is this what one looks like? I guess I will be diplomatic, I didn’t think mine would be like a barbarian.”

Annushka

“Would you like us to set up another tent so we have more room? And I’m sure we have blankets and other things to help you get warm. And more food and drink if you need them.”

–Rumble: “Goldie you wanted extra power so put on a game face and go help build a campfire.”

–They all look at each other their eyes go wide.

Annushka

“We came here to find our Bandersnatches and they are here. I don’t know who else they could be.”

–Un-Brielle: “Yesss Yesss to all of that.!”

–Rumble “I can go prep our tent so it has extra space.”

–Goldie: “Yaaaa… … I will go help with the tent.”

Jessica

I pull out my lute and begin to play once the campfire is going

–Eldilove finishes setting up the campfire as Rumble sets up a huge tent around it with some large hover boxes while Goldie takes out some big bags of jerky and a stack of cups,  she pours out water for everyone.

–Un-dilove sits by you and silently offers to comb your hair with a harsh boney comb.

I smile and let her.

–The rest eat the jerky near orgasmicly.

–Un-dilove seems elated. She starts transforming and healing. Warm leathery wings like soft velvety hands envelop Eldilove gently.

–Eldilove learns some eastern hair styles that manifest in her head.

“Cool !”

–Un-brielle: “You say you sought us out. You want us. You want to become full twin Bandersnatches yourself. where can we start where ?how can we help?“

–Un-brielle notably a foot shorter than Umbrielle sits under her arm.

–Un-mble: “Curls around Rumble and produces a loud purr.

“I really don’t know much about this, Jabria told us about this place and said we should come find you.”

–New Gold: Sits next to Goldie. She sits quietly and stares down as she starts witling something at super fast speed.

Jessica

“Umbrielle I am just guessing here but mine anyway seems to reflect a part of me. Mine seems able to take on any shape she chooses and taught me some hairstyles, It was like they appeared in my mind as she did my hair. By the way the tail is very cool.” 🙂

–Un-Brielle: “If you wish we could teach you some basics of our bonding powers we offer if you chose to merge with us. You can also have some of our knowledge and power. We are either the same spirit in two places or two spirits in one place.”

Annushka

“Yes please teach us.”

–Un-dilove: “If you like it so I could show you how to have one.”

–Everybody’s arm and shoulders tingle. They heat up tremendously Umbrielle’s belt glows fantastically. for a second.

Jessica

“You must have been so lonely here. What were the dangers here you were speaking of? Could you show me in my mind?”

–Un-Brielle: “Cumulatively we become a Hyde. We have granted you our only gift in the form of a lexicon  with its rune inside of the blade, It is sufficient power. This is a love invitation hopping to interest you so you can give us something from your spirit so we can have light vision and protection in here.”

 “How do we do that?”

“I think this is what Jabria meant by lanterns. But I think one of us has to keep our lantern. Is that right?”

–Un-dilove’s now soft warm blankety wings fully caress you. Your mind is full of pictures of a mist dark world, beaten  down towers porcelain masked faces calling out from broken window, shadowy hands reaching out from carriages running by.

–Un-Brielle casts a spell and three tiny bright glowing octahedron dances around your head like a halo.

–Everyone may make a perception check.

–Umbrielle notices that her jaberwok rune is now much larger beautiful ornate and elaborate like it was produced by an impoverished tattoo artist who gave you their best most dark an beautiful work.

–Umbrielle also notices that those other beings are each missing an arm.

“What happened to your arms?”

–Un-Brielle: “You each have three we just need one.”

I look at Un-brielle’s arms

–Its faded. you notice its almost gone.

Jessica

“Umbrielle what did you see?”

–Un-dilove “Enchanting your lexicon blades was a very expensive gift soo very expensive..”

Annushka

“You gave up your arms for us? What can we do to help you? You said that we can merge?”

–Un-Brielle: “You would never lose one of your lights forever we would just share our treasurer hand one of them us take one of those tiny octahedrons and hand them to us willfully of your choice.”

–Un-dilove  “Yes we can merge that is how this works you can take us with you.”

“I’d like to hand mine over. I’ve seen what they are fighting on this side. The masked faces on cruel people.”

Annushka

“Then please let us do that. I want us to merge together.”

Jessica

I hand my lantern to love

–Both you  can take one of the tiny purple octahedron around you and hand it over.

Annushka

I want to become full twin Bandersnatches.

–The purple light flutters almost pleading with you as if feeling a sense of betrayal.

“You don’t have to be just protecting us. We can protect each other from now on.”

–As there handed over you all disappear. you now look through the bodies of the others rumble follows suite.

I take the light and give it to unbrielle

–Its back to just you

–Its back to just both of you.

— Both of you and Rumble now have two purples and one smaller blue.

–Un-brielle’s shell is a bit larger thicker and stronger one of her eyes glows green now

–Eldilove develops a tiny set of bat wings and a tiny batty tail.

–Umbrielle Seems to have a shell almost like Adamantine like in color.

 “I guess this means we’ve merged.”

–Rumble: Has developed loon dark hair and longer pointed ears.”

–Un-brielle: “Thankfully we merged in our hearts. the rest should be simple.”

–New Goldie hands Galdyana a carved dagger she made and Goldie just cries for a bit. She then  hands her one of the lights she has silently she continues to cry for a bit.

*”Do we have a little time? I’d just like to alter my travelling clothes a bit”

*”Goldie what’s wrong?”

*As I say the first line I pull up the back of my shirt to show my wings

–Goldie Flashes for a moment: “She knows.. she knows everything she was there with me suffering through everything I did feeling the pain with me forming her own opinions as they happened.”

–Un-Dilove: “I can help you with that sister just let me use my magic knifes to tailor your cloths.”

Jessica

I give Goldie a warm smile.

–They all seem to shift and blink in and out for a bit. They now all possess copies of your equipment they seem as clean and healthy as you do.

Jessica

 “My other half will help me with my clothes. I feel like we’re all going to need a little time and space. We should keep watch though. My other half showed me this place isn’t completely safe”

I head to my tent with un-dilove

–Un-Brielle: “I can show you all our special abilities one step at a time. Your jaberwocky group is known to have the very very best aid for us. Our tactical combat system is the best.”

–Un-Dilove walks off into your tent with you

–Un-brielle: “What can I help you with”

“Tell me about you and this place and what you need.”

–Un-Brielle: “I am a part of you. the parts torn away often pushed away or maybe just forgotten mostly embraced by few. I set boundaries. I also know when to accept enemies and fight. I see the evil others ignore. I chose my own desires instead of those of others who ask things of me. I have many names some see me as a source of evil but I am just the part that defends me and us, the wild part the part often suppressed.”

–Un-dilove steps into the tent with Eldilove. “What can I do for you sister.”

–Un-Brielle “This place is a world of dreams it is a copy of a border of other planes astral ethereal negative energy real world.”

” I’d like to learn how to alter my clothes with the magic knife, but I’d also like us to learn more about each other in our own words. Each of us telling the other their story. And more to the point, and I think you knew I was going to bring this up at some point, now that we’re merged we’re going to have to come up with a better plan to avoid drinking more than we should.”

–Un-brielle: “We have what we need so far your love protection. Just keep us with you let us leave with you and share your things. Don’t be afraid of us so we can call on your power for our defense. In time we can teach each other many things.”

Jessica

“If I guessed right about you both of us kind of kept the other in check when we were partying and that’s going to be a little trickier now

And at this point I bring up some painful memories from my perspective and then ask how she saw things.”

–Un-dilove: She shows you more through some telepathic that she is your compliment while you love music, colorful, gregarious, and independent, and often just scoff at oppressive forces. Yet she is the anti that in some ways she is stoic, solemn,  disciplined, and a shadow monk , bound to an honor system with a Jonin.  She acts and kills within this system.

–She shows you that she lived through everything you did and your nightmares as if they were real things. In some places, and in some cases she was the monster looking for you but not for villainous reasons.

–While you saw something as malleable (socially through satire or diplomacy) she saw it as untransmutable, something warranting either death or tolerance.

I think about the honor system she’s telling me about. I try to let that sense of self discipline in. And I listen to everything she shows, and try to get to know her better

I also try to share the joy and vulnerability I feel with her in return.

 “I will take you with me. I want to help you. I’m sorry you suffered so much before we found you. I would have come sooner if I had known about this.”

–Un-dilove just cradles you in her wings she already seems to know you very well and aspects of her flow in you as well. There is a very deep hatred and resentment towards a world she sees as so unfix ably cruel.

“Yeah I guess we do know each other well don’t we. We just don’t get to meet face to face like this too often.” I hug her

–Un-Briele: “You came when you could you fought for me better than anybody else we helped each other long before, and I also defended you in kind. Everything is paid up now that your here and we are together.”

Jessica

I try to let the words she’s focused on come into my own mind.

–Un-brielle “Strokes your shell even this new shell structure was something I delivered to you. Your in a body that can be peaceful now.”

Jessica

” It’s the hardest thing I do showing people that hate me love. But you know why I do it. We both have good ways to solve problems. Let’s continue to learn from each other. I’m glad we had this chance.”

–Un-dilove lays down with you in a very intimate moment. She is not one to communicate with words. It is up to you if this as familial or romantic,  but it as if she sees the other half of your soul from the inside.

“Let’s wrap up with my clothes and rejoin the others?” I think they are probably almost ready I hold her for a while before getting back to my clothes

–You learn the prestidigitation cantrip from her if you don’t already have it one of its features is that it can make simple changes in clothing.

I hug Un-brielle and stroke her shell.

–She is much smaller and enjoys sitting between your legs feeling your protection.

–Rumble and Goldie have gone off to talk in different quantities of time.

–Un-mble: “Ok the first thing we can show you is how to emblaze one of your runes, to make it and you more powerful. The other thing we can show you is how to perform A Hyde strike. I have decided to just tuck Rumble in for some naps I can take care of everything she needs to do.”

–You notice that all there stuff seem to be getting better Un-briell’s cloak looks warm and velvety and gilded in gold lace. Un-dilove’s robes have beautiful patterns on them.

–Un-mble: Sits in the tent. “Many questing adventurers collect what they call experience. But as wild beasts and magical predators of a sort we don’t build ourselves through your typical dragon slaying quest. Instead what we do is strive to open up ourselves to our own power and instinct.”

–* with that in mind sit close your eyes and take a look at all the old stuff about you reclaimed and not the external stuff you claimed. then focus on that for at least 30 seconds.”

–You picture everything about what you have done and in your mind, heart, and soul you see all seven runes. you have and three empty spaces and in the center you see a glass vase 1/8 full of red liquid.

–You have the door way. The long drill, the wave serpent, the Jabberwock.

–You have the anchor and one that’s kind of blurry, and one some what shaped like an electric hammer.

–Unmble: “Now In phase two we decide how we wish to alter a rune. Ask yourself if you wish to make one of them work faster, easier, more available,  more powerful, or if you wish to integrate a rune into your own personal list.

–* You can also develop a Rune with something know as a brandish in wich case you merge two runes.”

–Un-mble; “Any of them but if you did it with the one associated your lexicon blade. it would be kind of a waste. However you could always recalibrate your lexicon blade.”

–Unmble: “So have you come to a decision.?”

–(Yes you are both agents of Jaberwoky but Umbrielle may have gotten the anchor while you forgot it so you two blurred runes.)

–She Curtsies: “Eldilove I can escort you through this techniques as well.”

–(OH Umbrielle’s claws and fangs are now 1d8 and 1 d6 and do a +2 damage to hit and damage)

–Eldilove pictures, a minor Jaberwok, a rune hammer, an electric drill, two blurred runes-

–Un-mble: “These can be made faster, easier, more prevalent. You can integrate these into your spell library, you can also make them more powerful, and you can even combine runes.”

–(It has the eel shield in yours but you can make swaps).

“What can we do with this door key rune?”

–Un-mble: “Its the rune associated with teleportation, Using it could be made much easier, it could be made one of your spells known, or it could be wielded faster.. and yes even that can be more powerful, but you have two does available.”

“Thank you. I would like to make it one of my spells known, and I would like to make my Jabberwock rune more powerful.”

–You will instantly gain the plane shift, teleport spell, along and the with the teleportation circle  spell,  and the misty step spell,  when you become the appropriate level.  These will be a part of your spells known.

–Additionally your Jaberwok enhances you as Umbriell’s did.

I’m looking out at everything. Does anything stand out as if it could be important?  “Goldie turns into a monster?”

—Its a beautiful illusionary depiction of an old forgotten world. Yet there are no

hidden passages in it or anything. You do see many magical lights though.

Annushka

 “What is the creepiest part of the job?”

—Rumble: “Yes we all become dragons of the deep. Its ghoulish to look at but it is what must be done. Don’t say you never had a chance to back out.”

Annushka

“I’m not going to back out. I’m ready when you are.”

—Mistress: Action: She places her hand gently on your shoulder. “we are Just going to use a hidden extension of the alter self spell. please just watch what I do.”

I watch what happens.

What happens when I do it?  “That is wise mistress. Thank you.”

—Without external eyes a psychic kinesia kicks in allowing your smells, hearing, and energy sensing to coalesce into visual images in your mind. You see these images within a 60 foot radius around you as a form of blind sight. Your voice wordlessly reaches out to the others around you as telepathic abilities flower forward.

The light diminishes as the water darkens color fades and you now only see the psychic colors around you.

Speaking: “Was this place always underwater? Or did the water rise over it?”

—Mistress: “In the water you may even throw it up to 30 feet and it will return to your hand and it carries energy field that will allow it to cut even another magic sword in half. It will let you call fourth any one rune in less than a second.”

—Mistress: Action: She stares downward. “Sadly it fell Brisbane scoured many things from others when it was founded.”

Speaking. “Is Brisbane the name of this country?”

—Mistress: Action: She telekinetically maneuvers the sphere into a basement area, around you grows more and more telekinetic and illusionary objects. You see beds of woven kelp denser than leather. and objects of other kinds of chorale

—Mistress: “Yes you will be invading Brisbane. the capital nation of the hierophant.”

Speaking: “Have you ever been to Brisbane?”

—Mistress: “Oh yes. Once upon a time it was my home long before it had the name Brisbane.”

—Goldie: “I can wrap some of your weapons in long handle electro leathers if you need them Eldilove it will help them work underwater.”

Speaking “It is unforgivable they took so much from you. What can you tell us of what was before Brisbane?” Action: I also practice using the shield rune calling it forth using the steps we learned.

—Action: The sphere maneuvers into a long brick corridor that overlooks a huge endless black chasm.

Annushka: “Ok so the belt gives me the alter self spell, right?”

—Mistress ” But my piece de resistance is this.“

— Action: Rumble barely makes up to you from 60 feet away and yet with roguish dexterity she just barely sprints up to your jumper, Her hand out reaches out with a larger square buckle toward the jumper.

Annushka: I still don’t understand everything you said about these items. Is there an item I can tie to her so still use my hands to swim? I don’t want to be slower because I’m using my hands to pull her with me

Annushka: Ok,. You also said the net could be used as an airlock. Would that help here?

Annushka: Alright, I use the net to give her air. Wait, would the big air bubble in the net cause her to float up quickly?

—((No think of it being like a scuba suit, but it helps.)

Annushka: Ok. I attach the strap to her arm and start pulling her up. She can breathe now right?

—Action With careful application a scuba suite envelops Eldilove Shielding her face and body.

—Without needing a single saving through you she her shoulder ease up.

Jessica: “I guess we can talk more when we’re on the boat? There is a boat right?”

—Goldie swims up to Eldilove and casts a spell

Annushka:” I don’t think anyone can hear you yet. We’re still in water.”

Jessica: “Ahh right”

Annushka: I give a thumbs up and then motion up to the surface.

—Eldilove can now easily swim 60 feet as a base move.

Annushka: DM, what did Goldie cast?

Jessica: On my next turn I swim up to the surface using my full move

Jessica: I start swimming toward the ship, I hold the rest of my action until one of my rescuers can get ahead of me so I can follow them.

—Eldilove can make it all the way back to the ship with a double move.

—Eldilove makes it only 60 feet up and easily spots a mystic glowing square underneath the ship

Annushka: I swim back to the ship too.

Jessica: I’m going to head toward the glowing square once I see it

—Goldie and Rumble Escort you the entrance hatch and a gold elf in a dark robe ( a very rare sight) grab your hand and pulls you into a board room.

—Everyone stands In a room surrounded by decorated walls. At each corner of the room is a tall dark statue and in the center is a long table with various fruits on them.

Jessica: “Nice digs you have Umbrielle! Are you a fan? I didn’t think I was like, 4 star underwater hotel popular or anything.”

Jessica: “My name is Elidove in case you aren’t a fan, or I’m dreaming.

And what are the rest of your names anyway?”

—Mistress: “I will be fixing up new quarters for both of you. while you adjust.”

Annushka: Speaking: “Do you have any idea how you got out there?”

Jessica: speaking (to the Robed Elf) : “Thank you, you are incredibly kind. I didn’t catch your name?”

—Eldilove Notices the exact key hole rune on Umbrielle as well.

Jessica speaking, (to Umbrielle): ” I was singing at a protest against that Hierophant, when someone tried to shut me down. I was trying to escape and I found a rune, from what I remember from what I studied I guessed it was a teleportation rune and I guess I guessed correctly because the next thing I knew I was underwater.”

—Mistress; “I am just the Mistress of the Autumn Festival the Order of the hidden Belt and the many other agencies most just call me the Mistriss while I am leading a military project.”

Jessica Speaking.: “Why this guy’s goons would want to teleport to the middle of the ocean is beyond me though, and thank you again for your hospitality Mistress.”

— Mistress “Certanly.”

Annushka Speaking:,” I don’t know how what happened to me, I must have been unconscious when I was transported. I don’t know why someone wanted to send me here.”

—Rumble/Thai colored Tabaxi “Teleportation powers and runes can do that sometimes. You might have been transported away and into a random area.”

Jessica. Speaking:  “Well hey I am not complaining.” I stretch out on the bed.

Speaking:  “It sounds like you maybe miss your folks though?”

Annushka: “I am concerned. I don’t know what happened to them.”

Jessica speaking: “I’ll help you find them when we get a chance.”

Speaking: “My guess though is that whatever reason you’re here may end up being something that could keep them safe.”

Speaking “Mistress do you know why we are here, and what this on my hand means?”

—Rumble: Action shows a key hole rune on her thigh. ” Speaks ” I had bailed my brother out of prison along with many other folks and we ran. They wanted me dead not just because of what I did, but what I could do.”

Jessica: Nods toward Rumble. Speaking: “I’m glad you were able to get him out safely.”

—Mistress: Her head peaks out. ” Oh that just means you are a Dred Witch according to the Hierophant. Most women are considered to be witches by him but since you can snare and wield the most powerful runes you would be considered a Dred Witch so congratulations.”

—Goldie: Action:  Rushes off to help fix up the room being worked on.

—Rumble: “Yea me too.”

Annushka: “I don’t think there’s anything else.”

Jessica speaking: “Well my new friend I am going to get comfortable.”

I pull out my lyre and play a song of rest.

Annushka: Ok. Speaking to Elidove: “The reason we are here now was to get one of these runes from somewhere above. It’s lucky we were here when you appeared.” Speaking: “There is some kind of underwater tower under the island and it’s full of undead. Above that there is a graveyard.”

—(The grave yard is underwater also. a military fort is up top))

Annushka: Wait: I think I mixed that up. I think the underwater tower is the graveyard

—((the tower is a building within the underwater graveyard))

Annushka Oh ok. Speaking:, “Then after we get the rune and get past the skeletons we will reach the surface inside a fortress controlled by the enemy army. We are supposed to find a way out of the fortress and get to another island where we will find someone who can help us get back to this ship.”

Jessica speaking:  “A heist eh? I like it. Well hopefully I can pull off the same trick I used to get here, with maybe a little better control when the time comes.”

Jessica speaking:  “So what skills do each of us have to lend? I’m ok with a rapier and crossbow, I know a little healing magic, and I can make baddies sleep or easier to hit.”

—Rumble/Tabaxi: “She may need to know how to snare more runes also. Since she has now probably been labeled a Dred Witch that skill could be helpful, would each of you like another crash course in rune snaring.”

Jessica speaking “Yes please!”

Annushka Speaking. “Yes please!”

—Rumble; “Humbf…All right Let take this step by step. Step one is contact with the rune each of you should touch your underwater dark suite.”

Annushka: There’s a shield? Or the rune looks like a shield?

—((Eldilove wanted to rekindle the keyhole rune you didn’t ask too a serpent in an electric shield is the rune you saw. ))

Jessica speaking: “Keyhole?”

—((the one rune looked like a see serpent in an electric shield.))

Annushka: Oh I see now. We need to think about the electric eel rune

—Rumble: “Some runes are more potent and more severe. so their branding sting a bit more. Step four is imagining a throw able object in your hand, and an energy type that object embodies. Finally throw it at the area you wish to change.”

Annushka: I imagine a harpoon And throw it somewhere it won’t damage anything.

Annushka: Electric

Jessica: I imagine a small turtle in my hand cackling with electricity and I throw it toward the table.

—Only Eldilove is engulfed in a dark cloak it has the same properties of cloak of the manta ray in addition to the other traits you read about in the equipment Umbrielle got earlier.

Annushka: What happened to mine? I just missed?

—Rumble: ” You can try again Umbrielle but you will be branded as a deviant monster.”

Annushka: “What does that mean?”

Jessica speaking: “I think the purpose of this spell is more protection than weapon.”

Annushka speaking out of character, oh yeah I guess since it’s a shield

Speaking. ” What does being a deviant monster mean? Will it mutate me?”

Jessica ((Was just saying since I was told the harpoon appeared in your hand))

—Rumble “It means the Autumn festival is a detested group that works with  magical predators.”

Annushka Speaking, “Wouldn’t they already consider me a deviant monster just because I’m not human?” I’ll try again. I imagine the rune and imagine a net. When it appears I throw it.

—Rumble: ” They do but that does not mean working with dragons and wizards will grant you an easy life.”

Jessica: “Contact, name, ouchy, throw.”

Annushka: “Touch the rune imagine the rune imagine an object throw the object Right?”

Jessica: “Ahh yeah, imagine the object, I guess ouchy is less a step and more what happens.”

—Rumble: “Correct all of you now rest up we can treat your injuries. The act of doing all these things together is known as Reeving.”

Jessica: “You’re a fantastic teacher Rumble, thank you again.”

—Rumble Action: Bows “Its my pleasure Now I am going to rest up when you feel ready you can join the Mistress back in the main water room, where some finale options will be offered.”

Annushka: I’ll lay down to rest. Unless we’re supposed to go to a different room for that?
