Captain Archon and Samantha walked up to see a wide array of ship cannons being crewed by iron golems.
As Samantha looked around she got a good look at the dream body provided it has long red hair like she did when she was awake but this body had rune tattoos scattered over it.
The runes were extensions of her soul and these runes created her lean athletic body, her basic red pirated costume and a few weapons including a cutlass and a few daggers on different belts. And black leather boots that were tied up with many belts each of which possessed an ornate steel buckle.
In the waking world Samantha was told she was scrawny. She needed glasses and an inhaler. Samantha would get winded from running half a block. But here she could see for miles.
Samantha felt like she could do back flips, climb mountains and swim for miles.
Within the span of a few seconds Samantha was able to juggle her daggers at incredible speed while Captain Archon watched what happened for a few seconds. This was a feat of super human agility In another second Samantha tucked away her daggers and stared with her mouth agape at captain Archon.
“How am I able to do all that?” Samantha asked.
“Its a simple thing Samantha. When you are in the slip what truly matters here is the strength of your soul. That matters here. Everything else never enters your boots, all your old problems are waiting for you in some other place. But if you need a moment take some time to get used to your new abilities. When you get some of your old runes back you might find you can do a lot more than just juggle daggers.” Captain Archon said with a wink.
A few iron golems in the background at Samantha’s performance which takes a proud bow for them.
“All right that is enough for now Samantha” Captain Archon said as we waved Samantha over to a place on deck with a large mounted telescope the size of a bicycle.
With a quick lean in the captain gazed through a telescope lense the size of a dinner plate for several seconds. For about second the captain rubbed his hands until he stood upright and pointed out towards the vast distance

“Look over at this for a second Samantha.” Captain Archon called out.
“Samantha hoofed it over for a moment to look through the giant telescope and in the far distance she spotted a red creature swimming briefly up and out of the water a bit too fast for Samantha to notice any detail.
The creature splashed out of the water again and Samantha could spot the details a second time and Samantha caught a better glimpse of it; it was a squid the size of a school bus. Samantha shook with nervousness. Memories of what that squid swarmed back into her head.
The creature’s name was Zanothic, a demon that stole pieces of other souls from dreamers who chose to abandon their dreams and hope. When somebody gives up on their sacred missions they gave up on the parts of their soul built for them and that is when Zanothic swims to snatch away what was given up.
Samantha knew she was one of Zanothics victims. She believed in something passionately but she forgot. She had something precious but she didn’t know what it was but she guessed she lost the knowledge of that when Zanotic stole a piece of her soul.
Samantha decided that she would do everything possible to kill Zanothic. Somehow some way she would end that demon but somehow she would need to find the courage to face this creature.
Captain Archon sat upon a nearby barrel and just watched Samantha for a moment with kin eyes. After about twelve seconds of watching her hold herself alone for a moment it was then that Captain Archon walked over to Samantha to put a hand on her shoulder.
Samantha looked up into Captain Archon’s gaze find compassion for a tragedy he somehow understood in away Samantha couldn’t imagine would be possible by another person.

“Things will be all right Sarah, we scared the demon last time. I put this telephoning harpoon right into the demon’s eye. He will recover from horrible injuries and blind on one side on top of that. Their best chance at slaying the creature is only days away and I got one more thing to show you on top of that as well.” Captain Archon as he started walking off below deck once more leading Samantha below deck.
With a mix of hope and nervousness Samantha trudged behind the Captain as she became surprised to see many floors pass her by as she walked down as many 4 floors on a relatively small ship that was somehow larger on the inside than the outside. Samantha understood that she was in a realm where Dream world physics was as valid a science but for a moment she forgot and then became amazed to see such amazing things up close.
Eventually the captain walked Samantha past a door where what lay behind it was a giant smithy where all manner of anvils and tools were being made by all different kinds of Iron golems. Everywhere Samantha looked there were shelves full of all kinds of shelved material containing all kinds of forged objects from daggers to belt buckles.
Samantha walked over to look at a bronze mug on one of the shelves. It had amazingly detailed pictures of knots that had been embossed on the mug. Samantha be
had no idea how they were able to make mugs so detailed.
“You are welcome to take the mug with you Samantha if you like it. Normally we sell these treasures for sale in our pirate coves but you have done enough wonderful things for this crew in the past so all things considered I think you deserve a few nice things as welcome gifts before we go fight the demon but what I really want to show you is over here.
