Long ago, three moons built Thune together — and each left a piece of itself in the planet’s magic. Every sorcerer still channels one:
1. Bright Forge (The Red Moon) – Lens of Power
Philosophy: Strength is truth.
Red iron in the sky. Its followers are warriors, smiths, and cactus-mages who grow armor from living thorns. Their magic is loud, hot, and costly — you get what you take.
2. The King’s Shield Mate (The Golden Moon) – Lens of Love
Philosophy: Protect what you love.
A pale gold gas giant with a castle floating in its clouds, guarded by giant eagles. Its mages swear oaths to people, not gods. Their magic shields, heals, and binds — but if you break your oath, it breaks you.
3. The Midnight Moon (The Blue Moon) – Lens of Truth
Philosophy: Everything hides something.
Tiny, dense, and dark blue, full of sea serpents and shapeshifters. Its followers see through illusions, speak with tides, and wear other faces. Their magic reveals — but it never lets you unsee.
How to use it tonight:
Give each spellcaster this choice at character creation: Which moon did you swear to?
Give them a tiny boon + a price:
Forge: +1 to a damage roll once per day, but you must answer any challenge to a duel.
Shield Mate: You can shield an ally as a reaction once per day, but you cannot abandon someone who has sworn to you.
Midnight: You can see through one illusion per day, but you must speak only truth during the next full moon.
DM Seed: All three moons are full tomorrow night — the first Triple Conjunction in 30 years. Every oath will be tested. The eagles have already left their castle.
