Oburu is perhaps one of the oldest beings in the world of thune nobody knows where she first came from but most believe she cam from the earliest moments of magic that existed on thine roughly 25, 000 years ago before the age of bronze. During this time, little was known about metals.l,and magic was something that existed from the first as something simple.
In Oburu’s time their was very little distinction between a druid and what would be called a shaman ( and later called a necromancer by colonial forces).
There were just the village elders, and it is from the world elder that that we get the world eldritch.
The words for witch and wizard likewise also decend from the world wise.
It was these wise elders that Oburu draws her heritage, but their main missions included the following
* Make sure the dead pass on to the place they must go.
* Never let anybody torment or abuse a ghost that needs to pass on.
* Insure that all ghosts find their way to their chosen or blood decendenants.
* Aid ghosts in completing heroic missions for their dependents.
These ghosts would often then not go immediately to another plane instead thy would remain bonded to the world and nature. The ghosts became known as nature spirits and would protect nature in the following ways.
* They would protect plants and animals to preserve ecosystems
* They would drive away explorers of nature who take much.
*They would meet their descendants in dreams to train them to do what they were doing.
*They would guard and protect people who would use natural recourses responsibly.

Oburu was both ghost and descendants at one point, but it wasn’t until extraplanar beings came to claim the dead that Oburu decided to stake the claim, so she linked druid groves with each other through a series of unseen doors and between these doors were known a place called feyri (or the key wilds) this few wild was known as the in between place and could always be found between two points.
It was in Feyri that Oburu became The Deal Maker. Ghost could no longer take on the roll of heroes in a paradise, but in Feyri, their ectoplasm would mix and help them become solid manifesting poltergeist with that they could continue their important work.
Soon, many ghosts joined Oburu, but eventually, as organized religion spread, more ghosts went to paradise, and bigger cities got built. People forgot the old ways and nature suffered.
Because of this the poltergeist guardians of old shrunk down and became slender and slightly twisted.
They were known by the name Aelf et this point with meant glowing one and the belief was spread that the fey and the humanoid where two separate groups and not the living and the dead.
To off set this Oburu reserved three sacred students who would always remember they would indeed maintain a collection of fey agents, a closed network of druid groves, and a special area in feyri known Duathi River a place where the dead would be allowed to travel freely on certain days to do various things including.

* Heroic missions for descendants
*Celebration on certain days
* Warding away certain living people from certain areas
The fey were their own category of benign undead, but when they entered the world, they would often forget who they were before even though their sacred missions lived on.

But thanks to Oburu’s three guardians, these fey ghosts who now manifest as solid physical beings in some areas can see the whole scope of who they are.
That is of coarse after they bound themselves to one of Oburu’s sacred groves and continue the fight.
Joining Whisper grove is no simple feat, of course, but the spirits that guard these linked areas invoke a potent magic that uses simple runes and command phrases. It’s something in between druid power and traditional wizardry power.
And if you find a teacher you can become proficient in a matter of months but be careful..
Runes have a way of welding you back if you weild them the wrong way.
